Hi There I’m Dr. Carey Yazeed

Behavioral Scientist | Author | Speaker

As a behavioral scientist, I study human behavior as it relates to emotional safety in the workplace and employee wellbeing. I utilize narrative and grounded theory research – the collection and coding of untold stories. Certified in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace, with a background in mental health and academia, I am the founder of iThink Change, a consulting agency that helps organizations understand the needs and challenges of their employees through assessments, data analysis, and trainings. I am also the author of several books including, Shut’em Down: Black Women, Racism, & Corporate America and Everyday Struggle: How Toxic Workspaces Impact Black Women, both Amazon Bestsellers in the category of business conflict, and creator of the workbook- Unbreak My Soul: How Black Women Can Begin to Heal From Workplace Trauma. Known for my signature workshop on how trauma in the workplace impacts women of color, I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I hold a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Research from Louisiana State University.
